The ICC Sydney has the following accessibility features:

All areas are wheelchair accessible. Wheelchair accessible bathrooms also have a sanitary bin available. A limited number of manual wheelchairs are also available to hire free of charge with provision of photo identification.

Infra-red hearing augmentation systems (hearing loops) are available in all rooms. Complimentary hearing augmentation devices are available free of charge with provision of photo identification.

Braille is provided on room door signage and fixed direction signage. Tactile flooring provided at egress points, including at main entryways, staircases, and escalators. Ushers will also be onsite.

Accredited service animals are welcome. If required, a bowl of water can be provided free of charge.
Our staff have also undergone training in supporting people with disability and will be happy to assist you with any special requirements.
Companion Cards are accepted. If your support person does not have a Companion Card, please contact us and we will consider your request on a case-by-case basis.

Yes – the ICC Sydney has multifaith prayer rooms you may use.
While the World Congress is an adult-event, we understand some people may need to bring small children. Two (2) parenting rooms are available at the venue. For security reasons, these do not have fridges but do have changing table areas, microwaves, a large sink, nappy disposal unknit, privacy curtains, comfortable seating, and a separate room with adult and child toilets.
Yes – you can pick up a Hidden Disability Sunflower Lanyard at the registration desk. These lanyards are designed for delegates who wish to voluntarily share that they have a disability or condition which may not be immediately apparent.

We’re taking abstract submissions that showcase work health and safety research, a case study, personal story or unique perspective. While reviewing abstracts, we’ll consider their use across the programme such as for a Fireside Chat or for an Alternative Ideas session.

Our registration form asks for your dietary requirements to ensure we can provide appropriate food for all delegates. Food options will be clearly labelled during meal times.
Yes, drinking straws will be available.
Delegates are supported to use the bathroom most applicable to their gender identity. Male, female, and unisex wheelchair accessible bathrooms are available throughout the ICC Sydney.
The official languages of the World Congress are English, Spanish, French, and German. Presentations will be made in English, with translations available in the other official languages.
Further, our staff can speak a total of ~80 different languages. Delegate name badges will also include flags to encourage people who speak the same languages to connect.
Occupational safety and health can involve graphic and distressing content. Presenters will warn the audience if their presentation contains any such content, providing delegates a chance to leave the room should they wish to. We also have a counselling service available free of charge with four (4) onsite counsellors as well as a virtual counselling option.
