We acknowledge Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the first inhabitants of the nation and the traditional custodians of the lands where we live, learn and work. We pay our respects to elders past and present.
Work re-design is a key control for psychosocial risks, and is increasingly highlighted in new Regulation, Codes of Practice, and International Standards on workplace health and safety management. Despite workers and managers in all roles contributing to the design of work, skill gaps remain in how to re-design for reducing psychosocial risks. This workshop introduces the Psychosocial Hazards work Re-design tool (PHReD), which aims to increase the skills and confidence of WHS and HR personnel in relation to re-designing work.
During the activity based workshop, participants will use elements of the tool in relation to real work scenarios across several industries, and experiment with developing relevant work re-design strategies.
The workshop will outline the support materials available with the PHReD which are available online https://www.workdesignformentalhealth.org/
